2026 CHANGES to Tournament and Payouts

Please Review the Following CHANGES for the 2026 Season

PROCESS CHANGE for SUBMITTING your 2026 Annual Membership

For the 2026 season we will not be processing annual membership requests via the Texas East website. Instead, you will need to submit your membership request via the Fishers of Men(FOM) National website. You will still need to submit your tournament entry via the Texas East website.

To access the FOM National website for membership, simply click the RED "Go To FOM Natl" button on the right side of this page.  Once you get to the FOM Membership page, simply complete the online form with your personal information and submit you payment, for membership, at this site. Special Instruction:

First, at the top of this form you will be asked a question, "Are you a Past Member?", if so click the "click here". If you are not a previous FOM Member, then complete the online form on this site.

Secondly, there is a Division Name drop down box where you will need to select our division. Scroll down in this box and select "TEXAS EAST - CLASSIC". This will get your membership assigned to our division, Texas East.

Once you have your 2026 annual membership completed, then return to this website and submit your tournament entry request.

PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR ANNUAL MEMBERSHIPS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. As we cannot  process your tournament entry until we have your annual membership.

END of YEAR - BONUS PAYOUTS

We have split the $5000 SUPER district bonus payout. For 2026 we will be paying $2500 to the Texas East team who wins or is the highest placing team in the 2026 District Tournament. Then a second $2500 will be paid to the Texas East team who wins or places highest in the FOM National Tournament.

OPTIONAL NON FORWARD FACING SONAR(FFS) BONUS PAYOUT

Teams who fish our seasonal tournaments, and choose not to use their Forward Facing Sonar or do not have Forward Facing Sonar, will be eligible for an additional tournament Bonus Payout. At each tournament we will be paying 1st place $3000, second place $1500 and third place $500 to the highest placing three(3) teams who choose not to use FFS. Teams who use their FFS during the tournament will not be eligible for this bonus payout.

ADULT/JUNIOR and MALE/FEMALE BONUS PAYOUTS

In the past we have paid a $150 Bonus to the top team in these two categories. For the 2026 season we will still pay these payouts. However, they will be made to the top team which does not place in the normal tournament payouts. Example: say we have 150 boat tournament, we will pay the top 30 boats/teams. The payouts for Adult/Junior and Male/Female team will come from the field of 31 to 150 boats.

NEW BOAT RAMP for FOM TX EAST TOLEDO BEND TOURNAMENTS

2026 FOM Texas East Toledo Bend tournaments to be run from "NEW" SRA Boat Ramp

Beginning in 2026, all three(3) Texas East tournaments will be run from the new SRA boat Ramp . Also known as the Sabinetown Recreation Area.

NOTE - THIS IS NOT THE BOAT RAMP AT THE END OF THE HWY 21 BRIDGE.

HOW TO NAVIGATE TOLEDO BEND

Elite Series Pro and Guide Darold Gleason explains the boat lanes and buoy system on Toledo Bend Lake. Learn how to safely navigate north and south along both sides of the lake (Texas and Louisiana) and east/west to cross over. He takes off from the SRA launch site at Cypress Bend Park (the most common launch for tournaments). As a reminder, Main boat lanes (usually North/South) are generally about 100′ wide. Secondary boat lanes (usually East/West) are generally 30′ – 40′ wide. According to SR

We, at Fishers of Men, believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. We believe that he came and died on a cross for the remission of our sins and rose again on the third day. And that anyone who believes in Him and accepts Him as their personal savior, can have eternal life in Heaven as well as a life more abundant while here in this life.

Hundreds of people have made first time decisions to follow Jesus and hundreds more have renewed their commitments to Him at our meetings.

ON MISSION with C.A.S.T. for KIDS

For the 2025 season Fishers of Men - Texas East will be partnering, as a local sponsor, with C.A.S.T. for Kids to enrich the lives of children with special needs.

Children with special needs (ages 6 and older) and their caretakers come together with community volunteers for a fun day of fishing they may not otherwise experience. These events provide a refreshing break from their daily challenges. Spreading a positive message that kids with disabilities can accomplish anything, C.A.S.T. for Kids includes all children, despite their limitations. This is all made possible through national and local sponsors-people who want to make a big difference in the lives of kids with special needs thus strengthening their community.

Children with Special Needs Feel at Loved & Valued

at C.A.S.T. for Kids events!

Texas East, as a local sponsor, is asking our Anglers to help support us in our partnering with C.A.S.T. for Kids by donating $40. That $40 will allow C.A.S.T. to purchase fishing equipment, which will be given to the Kids/Anglers at the end of an event. Plus, these moneys will be used to provide snacks, drinks and awards the Kids/Anglers.

2026 Eligibility

Beginning in 2025 Texas East implemented the following Eligibility Change

(This change applies to the 2026 Texas East Season)

Licensed Professional Guides (fresh water) who hold a special license and has provided guide services on the tournament lake in the preceding 30 days, before the tournament, may not fish the tournament. A Guide may guide on other lakes prior to the tournament, but guiding on the tournament lake within the 30 days of the tournament will exclude the guide from entering and fishing the tournament. Additionally, Licensed Professional Guides, with a Fishers of Men Annual Membership(2026), may not provide information to Tournament Anglers competing in any Texas East division tournament during the same 30 day pre-tournament time frame.

We are excited that this new rule change will level the playing field to more accommodate the amateur anglers in our fishing family.  Please share this with all of your angler friends and family.
